Valdezcaray Legend returned for the second year last weekend to Valdezcaray. Its moniker “legend” originates from the good vibe the world cup racers experienced when they visited our village a few years back.
The truth is that there couldn’t be a better atmosphere than that found among the two clubs that organise the Legend event: Lurk & Torocuervo.
After enjoying the racing on Saturday morning we had a great lunch in the cavernous hall of the ski resort before later reassembling for an evening of tapas, dancing and good times in Ezcaray village, thanks in part to the excellent gig put on by the Looney Blues Band.
Sunday’s workshops took on a certain magic amidst the fog. Those who did the ski traverse and others who took part in a mountain safety course all returned happy. Our little resort has a great spirit and although we can’t be conceited about our hills – partly because we could hardly see them last weekend – we hope many people, particularly those who don’t live too far away, will return soon on a sunny day. Don’t hesitate in calling us if so.

Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who helped out. And to you – Thanks for coming!
As one moment passes another is about to come round on the telemark calendar – next month Cerler holds its mythical event. It’s a great resort that deserves a visit.
There’s still a fair bit of the season left to enjoy all aspects of mountain life. See you soon!
